When Stephen Harper represented Canada in Copenhagen I felt a feeling that bordered on pride for how he represented Canada. Now, I understand that may seem to be contrary to logic and what Canadians in general are thinking (based on the MSM but I have a feeling that reality mimics a little more closely my feeling on the issue) but nevertheless I am somewhat proud of how he acted in Copenhagen. Not only did he not commit Canada to any socialist deal but he refused to even give those "leaders" the time of day. The Canadian position seemed to be, during this show (event), climate change is real but we are not going to sell out our company to fix it.
Let's be honest, though the climate may be changing the idea that humans are in complete control of the weather is too ridiculous to contemplate. I understand that in the Godless society that Canada is quickly becoming it is very easy to assume that whatever happens on the earth is mans doing and it is up to man, and man alone, to fix things but this concept, however valid in certain circumstances, does not hold water when it comes to the worlds climate. I will not claim to be a climate scientist but I am not without the capability to think logically and the logical position here is that if the climate is changing it has very little to do with humans (did we also cause the first ice age?). The climate debate is a political power grab by elites and must be stopped no matter the cost. The goal should not be more Kyoto type deals; contrary, it should be to rid the world of Kyoto type deals. I will not argue with the science but the ideology is an evil one. The idea that a group of politicians gathered in a room somewhere in the world should decide how billions of people operate, think and conduct business is not one that I will ever sign on to. It completely stifles the God given freedom that we all share.
While I appreciate Stephen Harper's pick against the criminals in Copenhagen I do not appreciate his willingness to differ to the United States on what Canada will agree to. He should not only run interference against this international theft but he should be a leader against the climate change advocates. I would like to see the conservative government, in the new year, come out more forcefully against the idea that this "international problem" requires an international response. Let free men decide when technology needs to be shifted. It's the Canadian way (or so I hope)
